Dane has lived in Houston most of his life and has watched this vibrant city grow into the most culturally diverse city in the USA. He always says that the best thing about Houston is “even though we have a large population we retain a small-town feel”. Dane has had an exciting life and has had the opportunity to experience things that he once only dreamed of. When he graduated from college, he went into the beer business and did that for over 20 years. The final 16 years were spent as a brewery executive for Tsingtao and then Heineken Breweries. These positions gave Dane experiences to work and travel around the country as well as Holland.

In 1999 his wife and had an opportunity to move to Australia for an assignment with her job. They lived in Jakarta, Singapore, Perth and Adelaide during this time. When they came back to the US they learned that they would be blessed with a new baby.
Dane started his career over and took a position as an account executive with SportsRadio 610 which led him to the mortgage business. One of his clients was a mortgage broker and he asked Dane to go to work for him. This was the subprime days and it was a huge learning curve. Dane finally landed at Countrywide, the largest mortgage company in America.
In 2007 Dane got a call and he and his family were headed to Cairo Egypt with his wife’s job where they spent 2 years then moved on to Dubai for the next 2 ½ years. To say that Dane understands the trials and challenges of moving is an understatement! Dane and his family moved back to Cypress and he found the opportunity to get a new start once again when he got his mortgage license and then realized things had changed so greatly that he made the decision to start flipping houses on the side. Now that was an education you cannot buy. During that period he obtained his Real Estate license and started doing more consumer residential transactions.

Dane’s experiences all prepared him when he got a call be the Branch Manager for Register Real Estate Advisors, and he was excited to take the position. Dane met the challenge and was a major part of growing this branch that came to be known for its great service and great agents.
